A well respected, global offshore law firm with a commitment to talent retention and development is looking for a Litigation Legal Secretary to join their growing Dispute Resolution team.
Who will be working with me?
Your role is integral to the smooth-running of the litigation team, ensuring that clients get the most effective and efficient service possible. You will be working closely with the litigation team as you gain international exposure.
How will I make a difference?
Your daily tasks include managing the diaries of fee earners, booking travel and accommodations, and assisting with billing. This role will require you to draft court documents, conduct court searches, and proofread correspondence. You will also handle document preparation, open new matters, manage client onboarding, and ensure the document management system is organised. You will support with invoicing and communicating with clients about their accounts while assisting with risk and conflict management.
What do I need?
We’re looking for candidates with 3-5 years of secretarial experience, particularly within litigation and insolvency practice. You’ll be a team-oriented individual with strong writing and proofreading skills, excellent attention to detail, and prior experience in preparing complex documents.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly in word processing, is required, along with typing speed and accuracy. The ideal candidate can work independently, manage tight deadlines, and possess a strong knowledge of the Cayman Islands court system. Relevant qualifications, such as a Legal Secretarial Diploma, are preferred.
